The Breakers was originally called the Palm Beach Inn
it was built by Henry Flagler in 1896. Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railway came to a stop right on the hotel grounds. His descendents rebuilt the hotel when it burned down in 1903, and again after a fire in 1925. This time The Breakers was constructed of concrete and designed in an Italianate style. 10. 22240.
